CIVCO Introduces Reusable Curved-Path Needle Guide for Siemens BP9-4 Bi-Plane Transducer
KALONA, IA, USA – CIVCO Medical Solutions has introduced a reusable, curved-path transrectal needle guide for the Siemens BP9-4 bi-plane transducer. This new easy-to-use guide is designed specifically for prostate biopsies, making it quicker and easier for physicians to complete the required biopsy regimen. The unique biopsy guide allows users a curved path for access to the prostate while improving functionality for faster, more confident biopsy. The reusable guide offers an 11.6° curved biopsy channel and allows 18 gauge and smaller instruments to pass. To reuse the needle guide, follow standard cleaning, soaking and sterilization procedures. When using this guide, a minimum 11.2cm (4.4”) needle is recommended. CIVCO’s single piece needle guide solution is easy to use and easy to clean between procedures.
